According to the cursory research I thought the matter merited, the practice of attaching special significance to the first 100 days of a new government began with Franklin D.
The whole " First 100 Days defines & determines ( in some mystical way ) the tone and intent of the entire term " silliness is just another imported Yankism: essentially what it is is an example of the reification of an idea into a " thing ". Why 100 days, would that number be any different from 99 days or 101 days other than in quantity? I mean, in the case of the current snP, will their complete submission to Brit State diktat vis-a-vis the Constitutional Question be any less spineless on day 100 than on any other amount of days?
Day 10,001 in Big Brother's wee brother's house........still no signs of life. Oh wait, someone has entered the Diary Room, something must be happening!!!...........
Hello Big Brother.
Hello John. everything ok?
John. Yes Master, just that we're stuck on a crossword question
BB ( sighing ) AGAIN?! what is it this time?
John. ' Type of old-fashioned train ' 5 letters. Only answer we could come up with is " Gravy ", but it doesn't fit
BB. I think we know why, John, don't we? Now, is there anything else?
John. mmmmm well, we're getting a bit low on veg, carrots in particular, think that's it......no wait, almost forgot......we're also getting very low on Valium. Phew! Imagine me almost forgetting that absolutely essential item
Of the many citizens who voted SNP: were they motivated primarily by the promised "demand" for another referendum or was it habitual, self interested-behaviour encouraged by the the SNP's buying of votes in the form of patronage and perceived freebies, this allied by the fear of their withdrawal by a victorious Unionist party or coalition thereof? Given the unbelievably poor record in office over recent years of the SNP, I'm inclined to believe that it was voter self-interest that won-the-day May last. Although there's nothing new or strange about voter self-interest, it can become a problem when voters concerns become individualised and have little to do with the state of the greater polity, and the patronage provider-party is both lazy and incompetent but seemingly gets no electoral-kicking despite its glaring shortcomings. How many voters, for example, would want to see their children lose their bus-passes and the like? Could it be that voters are willing to allow the SNP to do what-the-hell it wants to do so long as the patronage is secured and flowing?
No point in SNP asking for a Section 30 as it will either be ignored or, if a referendum is granted, it would be under London rules so designed to fail.
Precisely! And Swinney would have to accept whatever was offered. Otherwise, it's a case of you had your chance and turned it down, so shut up about independence for the next fifty years or so.
The result would only be binding if we lose. If we win, it was merely advisory.
It also means that the UN initiative is undermined. The British will be able to point to the Section 30 process and say there's a democratic route to independence that has been validated by the FM and the Scottish Parliament. Therefore, Scotland cannot be regarded as a non-self-governing territory.
Another soundbite..Ambitious Scotland.....or how aboot....Abused Scotland or ...Apathetic Scotland...or Arundinaceous Scotland ( wingless....canny fly...jist wanders aboot....ah looked it up) ...all with the same outcome..Scotland goes nowhere ..jist wanders aboot apathetic and abused.
However I am so excited aboot the next 100 days and thereafter...
I lie.
I am contemplating a visit to Unholyrood and cleaning oot the stye..but the Polis won't let me...still led by FOREIGN englishwoman Farrell ..she of the 'error of judgement' ( her words not mine)..in sending her taxi fare home tae dear old Blighty...tae US!....bad move hen......
Meantime while we contemplate the cost of Murrell's toilet seat ..and did we claim back taxes oan it...the so called 'royal' english family of charlatans are still in the business of ripping us off..Andrew Windsor renting oot cottages on his brither's estate while charging staff for living and working there....while his two daughters married to rich hubbies and obviously brought up in the royal tradition have been living rent free in castles for 20 years ..ye couldnae mak' it up.
So back tae the first 100 days...the sun has come and gone..the moon waxed and waned.. and Scotland still a prisoner in the toxic colony set up for the good of parasitic FOREIGN england...because the SNP membership will sit like the undead .. blinds up .. lights on ...but no-one at home...
What is the weight of a midge's fart Peter..?...
We desperately need a riot.
For OUR Scotland and her weans busy weighing midge's farts.
" Will we see the membership finally growing spine enough to rebel against the leadership? It has become a tradition to anticipate such a rebellion at every SNP conference. So far, we’ve always been disappointed. What will it take to spark a revolt?"

I don't predict a riot.
I predict a quiet? Sorry!
Lol, how about a Quiet Riot then?
