The cause needs you, Peter, so it's good to hear that you are going to prioritise your health. Stress is bad for us all so please don't set unrealistic targets for your writing. A daily article is definitely not necessary. Take good care of yourself and that will benefit your readers too.
I understand you are to some ( large? ) degree compelled to write as you do, P - and we're * all * better off for the energy you expend in doing so and the intelligence and passion for our country's wellbeing implicit in every sentence you create. But, yr nae good tae us done-in :)
As others say.....attend to what's most important - yr health and no-one expects you to produce a piece every day - much as I and, I'm sure, others look forward to and enjoy ( most of the time! ) our daily P.A.B.
Apropos of almost absolutely nothing, my wife actually read the box of Seven Seas JointCare Essential, and discovered we should have been taking one a day, not two. We'd been using the JointCare Active but it seemed to be replaced by the Essential a year ago and of course I never read the dosage, just presumed it was the same as it had same ingredients.
Silly me! No wonder I'd recently been strangely drawn to Ayr Racecourse with the idea of entering the Scottish Grand National - without benefit of horse.
It was a customer told me about them - a fellow hillwalker. Before that I'd to wait on the Calmac car deck to be last so I could hobble one step at a time holding both rails, so as not to slow everybody else down. One customer had even said "xxxxxx - you've gone lame!". Just like a horse, I guess.
As someone whose life regimen is dictated by pain, tablets and injections, I sincerely sympathise Pete. Look after yourself first and foremost. Will catch up for that "soft drink" one of these days amigo. :)
Pace yourself. I wouldn't expect you to deliver every day...big surprises in wee packages...you are required so engage that brain....and pace yourself!

I'm 100% with Robert Hughes (below): "But, yr nae good tae us [or yerself] done-in".
