As regular readers will be aware, I tend to write mostly about the constitutional issue, with many of my articles being prompted by an item in The National.
Drones are useful productive beasties. There'd be little food or beauty in the world without us, and probably 90% of the world's population would die of famine.
Cuckoos in the nest like you, on the other hand, who are only good at mumping your gums and expect everyone else to do the work for you ...
ZZZzzzz I notice you didn't ( couldn't ) answer the question. I'll ask again in a few months, just to see what effect your * pressure * is having on the snP Clown Show.
There never was a secret plan ffs. Swinney was banking on the SNP faithful (Brain dead) to swallow more of his bullshit just so he and his Cabal can continue to enjoy the fruits of devolution. 🏴
A think Swinney and Flynn etc are aff tae watch the fitba. Much like former national party elites in African states headed for Paris and London at weekends
On the subject of postcolonial theory, which also tells us of the “Manichaeism of colonial rule” (Fanon), in Scotland what we see is:
– a fake ‘justice’ system - views the native ‘absent of values’
– colonial 'show trials' - to further rupture the independence movement
– all enabling the 'plunder of corporate colonialism' to continue
Thus, colonialism is far more than a dodgy national party elite; colonialism creates such an elite just as it creates all else in colonial society, including the poverty and inequality of the colonized.
Our erstwhile PABite, ie Duncanio ( where dat man dun gone? ) wryly dubbed Jakey Mac's snP-at-prayer mob Make Believe In Scotland; never was a sobriquet more fitting. It seems like all the pre/now post-S.E plans n * Pledges * ( other brands are available ) were/are designed to pad things out until HEY PRESTO! it's time for the next G.E, so everything's on hold ( like there was any movement preceding it ): and so we roll - or, more accurately pussyfoot, on, and on, and on......
The only possible variable to this tattered script is the degree of damage current and imminent shit has/will cause the snP before the next electoral event.
If it's as severe as is likely they'll probably depose Swinney - if he hasn't been made Leader For Life through some cabal-led legerdemain - do a bit of dusting here n there, maybe change the curtains, canonise St Nic n * pledge * immortality to every snP voter and install another kid-on " Independence Warrior ( Worrier ) " and boldly go into split infinitive obscurity. Phasers on bore
I pass the SNP's HQ in the Gordon Lamb building every single day - there never seems to be anyone there and I mean never: this goes back to the Covid-19 lockdown days when it seemed the only people using the place were in there for weeks installing all sorts of cabling above the ceilings. I'd heard tell that it was to enable the party to have it's own in-house TV studio. Could that be where missing the £620k went?
Nothing to argue with your comment..well ane wee.item. Peter....Point three....REQUEST be bu**ered...we immediately transfer the powers BACK to the Scottish government as it was before the toxic union was foisted on us.No requests to the sh*te over the border...except go and f*ck yerself.
I too am at a loss as to what to say since all is as quiet as the grave.....very unusual..I suspect the undead in Unholyrood are getting ready tae watch the fitba'..far more important than oor freedom.
So I will tell you of my little discussion with 'Believe in Scotland' who emailed me requesting I send an email to stammer's inbox demanding a referendum. Swamp them!
I immediately emailed back telling them I was so disappointed that they were asking PERMISSION for a referendum..and as we are sovereign..blah blah blah..I was quite forthright.
Here is their reply..get yer vallium ready.
Quote: .."We are not asking permission..we are demanding action. As you say ( that's me)....the Scottish people are sovereign which means we need the permission of the Scottish people to become independent...and the best and easiest way to determine that is through some form of vote.." ..(end quote)
Aggggggh!..that would be after the foreign hostile uk gov snarl No...after you have once again asked PERMISSION of the foreign invaders..called the foreign english...grrrrrrr!
So I emailed back pointing out that during the passage of the Act of Union with Scotland in the english parliament an MP shouted..'we have Scotland on the rack now!' To which the speaker of the parliament John Smith cackled..'we have catch'd Scotland and will bind her fast'( ref project Arbroath)So good luck Jimmy wi yer pathetic request to our overlords was my reply.
As long as Scottish ijits repeatedly ASK PERMISSION of the stinking hostile invading devious rotten malignant colonising parasitic ( did I miss anything?) foreign english government..we will go nowhere...as we settle down to sing patriotic songs and watch some fitba'...it's the old 90 minute patriot syndrome...
Now while the sh*tty foreign english are watching their fitba' this is when we attack....if only....
That reply from GMK is a very characteristic twisting of language and logic. It can only sensibly be called "demanding action" if it is accompanied by a threat of some kind. If you are "demanding" something, this necessarily implies a penalty for not complying. What would that penalty be? What COULD that penalty be?
"By my reckoning, the first 100 days will take us to the end of September. The Scottish Parliament is in recess from 27 June to 30 August. If that is discounted as part of the 100 days, it’ll be the end of October. The clock is ticking."
The purpose of each and every deferral is to buy time in order to come up with another excuse for a delay.
Oh Peter you are just not looking in the right place!
If you sign up and agree to pay monthly you can become a 'member' of Believe in Scotland.
Members have had the comfort of warm reassurances from Gordon MacIntyre-Kemp that
John Swinney and he have a plan of works to increase the clamour for Independence and then to hold a Constitutional Convention.
A quick look at their website finds GMKs recent public ommission (sp?) [1]
This from May 14, 2026
...
Momentum - Believe in Scotland will now take the lead and launch our own Scotland’s Right to Choose campaign in May 2026.
5) Believe in Scotland will officially invite the SNP and the Scottish Green party to work with us to launch a repurposed Scottish Independence Congress. An open, inclusive and representative hybrid (online and physical) meeting of all pro-independence of local and national Yes groups, Political parties, campaigning organisations, think tanks that is open to individuals within the wider Independence movement. The goal is to reunite the Yes movement and agree a way forward to independence.
Momentum - We hope to be able to announce the Scottish Independence Congress in June 2026.
6) We are calling on the Scottish government to back our plan for independence and launch the Scottish Citizens’ Convention [2] - with the goal of ‘Creating a plan for a Better Scotland’ with a focus on a transition to a ‘Wellbeing Economic Approach’. The Scottish Citizens’ Convention can ask the Scottish people to help design a better future for their nation, to share their hopes, dreams and aspirations for a better Scotland. When we help the people co-create a shared story of a better Scotland - that will become Scotland’s national mission. We originally saw the Civic Constitutional Convention evolve into the Scottish Citizens’ Convention. However, due to the delay to launching the Constitutional Convention we now see an urgent need for the Scottish Government to focus on launching the Scottish Citizens’ Convention with the Scottish Independence Congress fulfilling the role of the Constitutional Convention.
Momentum - We will continue to push for this crucial plan to be adopted in our meetings with the pro-Yes political parties in May and June 2026.
I saw this bit and see that the timeline is extending farther into the future than I remember GMK saying.... :-(
8) If we start the Scottish Citizens’ Convention (SCC) plan now, we can start to capture the hopes and dreams of the people of Scotland and publish an interim report in May 2027. Then the final blueprint for better Scotland should be ready to publish in full by May 2028. At that point the UK and Scottish Governments will be challenged to explain how they can deliver that plan.
...
Momentum - Points 8, 9 and 10 are dependent on the Scottish Government agreeing to this element of the plan. If they do not agree to it or come up with a better engagement plan then gaining independence will be exponentially harder.
## quoting ends
GMK and BiS have contributed to getting the SNP re-elected.
Only time will tell how this unfolds and if the SNP perform in a way which complies with GMKs BiS 'plan'.
In the meantime the remaining remnants of the former 'YES' movement need to get organised.
It seems we are due an announcement from YES United.
A Congress AND a Convention! WOW! More talking shops in which no dissenting voices will be heard. I'll start to take these things seriously when I get invited.
With the price of gas, the heat has been turned down. Not surprising after the SNP cooked books fiasco. I'm afraid we'll all have to stew in our own juices until a new improved recipe is found.
That is a very good point. Doing nothing is probably better than doing the wrong thing. The potential for causing harm to Scotland's cause is far too great.
Of course, Swinney has already done the wrong thing in having the Scottish Parliament endorse the Section 30 process. The repercussions of this will not be felt immediately or in the short term. The harm will become evident if and when we do something other than requesting permission. The justification for doing this other thing will be that there is no other way the people of Scotland can fully and freely exercise our right of self-determination. Now, however, the British can claim that there IS another way. A legal way. A way that has been endorsed by several First Ministers and now the Scottish Parliament.
"Back burner?"
Maybe. With Murrell (bad) and World Cup (good), now is not the time I guess. Final date 19th July.
SNP webstie hasn't been updated since 20th May, an article about Voter ID.
All that can be done is keep the pressure on.
And exactly how are you and your fellow snP x 2 drones planning to " * keep * the pressure on "
* keep * suggests maintaining an ongoing situation; what pressure have you exerted so far and what effect has this " pressure " had ?
Drones are useful productive beasties. There'd be little food or beauty in the world without us, and probably 90% of the world's population would die of famine.

Maybe they'll threaten not to stand when the National Dirge is next played in their presence. That'll have the Brits trembling with terror, huh?

All true and depressingly familiar. There is no secret plan, in fact no plan at,all apart from thst ehich has been rejected again by London.
Personally I'm happy for them to do nothing. I can't imagine Swinney & Co taking any action that would be of benefit to Scotland.

shhhh ....the " secret " is that there is no plan
